“QUEEN AMINA” Shibori/Adiré Leather neckpiece. Inspired by the fierce 17th century African warrior Queen of Zaria (Nigeria), this neckpiece fresh off my table, is handcrafted with our (my artist partner’s and my) unique tiedyed 100% leather, combined with lostwax-made Baule brass pendant, ImpressionJasper gemstone, and ombré braided Kumihimo neckstraps. Matching brass-backed leather cuffs complete the warrior theme. I‘m giddy about the lightweight and bolder Kumihimo pieces I have coming down the pike from a variety of the leathers we’ve Shibori-ed. 😊
